Ok, that was a late gig. yes I know we should be all hard boiled muso's here, but upon arrival at the Pi I was asked by no less than 5 separate people, 'WTF are you doing starting at 11pm?' The answer? Just doing what we're told...ok...and making sure we dont interfere with the football (Go the 'Tahs! About time! Ok, the crowd we're also keen on the Tigers in another code, but thats a different story)

Yes folks its Late Saturday/Early Sunday at the PI and it was going off. Prune you rock, cheers for putitng the word out, Snowy's back from a Pacific Voyage and thinks he has Legionaires...Houseo did some interesting dancing and Matt danced with everyone. Several times.

Of course, there are the dangers of a late night start. Now how should I phrase this..hmm...delicately..um....Ah yes! After a night of drinking, people can get 'Tired and Emotional' - or, 'Emotional as a Newt'. 

We had one dance move involving a 360 head over heels spin with two Blokes, The poor guy who'd gone over his mates shoulder kept dancing but his balance centre was Tired And Emotional, he came within a hairs breadth of slamming into the PA speaker and stand, only saved by Prune from toppling.

Some awesome talent out of Japan, while we're thinking about them during the Meltdown and Earthquake.

SCANDAL - my fave girl-rocker band. Think Japanese version of The Runaways.. How can such pretty young things rock so hard?

HIROMI  UEHARA - an amazing keyboardist, now a 2011 Grammy winner and in The Stanley Clarke Band. For those who hate bass solos, her dual keyboard workout is at 4 min 30secs, and be prepared to be amazed
