Our great friend M.C ( or MC M.C as he raps under...lol) is an electronics whiz and a Dude Who Does Stuff, and we love Dudes (and Dudettes, if thats the correct Gender Descriptor for modern patois), who Do Stuff. That's one of the reasons it's been our great pleasure to feature the creative work and art by some of our other Musician Friends such as Terry Lyndon and Bob Carter...but I digress (check the comic section), and frankly, anyone that gets off their backside and does Their Own Stuff (whatever it may be) are people we respect.
The important thing is that MCMC (macmac?) Does Stuff too and recently (he doesnt like to brag) won an award for doing stuff with technical...electronic um...err...bits! yes, techbits.
Anyway, macmac (i'm liking it) made us a Vinyl Sign for the band that we have been using for the last two years.
We've been looking at how to Geek Up our Stage Shows and it turned out McMC and I have the same keen interest in certain areas of graphic display. And so, from the depths of the Secret Laboratory of Dr MC, comes the prototype New Sign
Howdy Folks - I am still messing around with a new Video Camera I got earlier this year. I have a bit of footage from some of our recent gigs, but it has taken a little digital fiddling to get some up on youtube.
Here's a moment from the Pendle Hill Inn gig with fettler, when Mr Wizard and Fettler took some solo time during 7 Days!
A bluff wintry night saw our return to the Avalon RSL, where the Karaoke was happening and the winter cold unable to deter girls from wearing short skirts. A gentleman named Scott asked why I was taking a picture of a Beer Coaster. I pointed out its safer than taking pictures of People :-)
We were very grateful to see Steve & Family at Avalon on Saturday night, we now just refer to Steve as '400%' , so cheers dude :-)
There's an old adage that says 'items will increase to fill up the available space', or something like that. Seems something similar is happening to our beloved guitarists...
Two racks, no waiting.
I got a moment of Theo's drum solo from Scruff of your neck:
Thanks to everyone who braved the cold (and distance) to hang out on Saturday night. Our next two gigs are coming up in Matraville and Balmain on the 27th and 28th of May.
