J-pop Vs K-pop

Details
Created: 17 October 2009
Hey there. You might have guessed from songs we've done like 'yamanote line' that I have a thing for Japanese stuff.

We've been looking at production (lights and stuff) for our own gigs and while I've been doing the research, I've been looking at the production on gigs done in Japanese and Korean pop music scene for some inspiration.

Here's a couple of clips by my fave J-pop act, 'Perfume'. They're hot, the songs are well crafted and they have a breathtaking show VS a clip from the K-pop (korean) pop scene from 2ne1.

You might know the Japanese and the Koreans have a bit of a rivalry (think Sydney/Melbourne writ large) . Even if the music isnt your thing, check out the way they do their shows.

I want their lighting technician!!
