Local Godfather of the Blues, Jim Finn and his eponymously named band were at the Royal Hotel in leichhardt this week and I dropped by to catch some of the show!
Featuring some guest appearances from Vikki Nik and Chris Turner, Finn were playing material from their forthcoming album, (when Jim tells me what its called I'll post the name) along with some great blues. They're playing all over the place, check the local gig guides for details.

Repo Getting down during the Boogie at the PI last night!
After a week off, this crazed collection of musicians were raring to go, like a tiger, rarrr. Ahem. Ok, maybe not a tiger. Maybe a marmot. Yes, a vicious, musically enthused marmot.
Big cheers to Ross for a great night at 2CCR last night. Ross played a wide range of songs literally across the blues roots and jazz spectrum - everything from Improv Jazz to Shannon Noll. now that's a spectrum. A couple of great tunes spun last night, including some impressive guitar work on a Cristina Crofts release.
