From the It-Looks-good-on-paper department comes the news that we're on another chart! Seems to be quite of a few'em really.

Yes, we're....141 on the Radio Free Americana Charts!

Right.

Well, there's that then.

Sydney's Vivid Festival 2013 is still awesome. Last year was great so we took at trip on a cold and slightly damp night to check it out.

The old customs house animation last year inspired us to make the Hard Times video. Didn't have the same impact on me this year (bugger) but still a great way to spend a night in my old stomping grounds.

This installation was all the way at the end of the stip, hidden down amongst the wharves.

A totally wonderful way to spend a night.

Howdy folks. A good solid weekend of playing at the Warra Workers and Sydney Blues Society Monthly Jam at the Botany View Hotel in Newtown.

Shout outs to Yeti, Aaron, Greg, Michael, Alan, Ms Sue, George, Gary, Jacque (all the way from the Netherlands) and all the folks who spent some time with us this weekend, including the remarkably well named Gary Moore!

In pictures, here's a Stormcellar sort of weekend.

Step 1. Gather ye Rosie, van, Gear and Traffic.

.

Step 2 - Photo of obscure items of interest at the Warragamba Workers club.

3. Full Moon in Netwown on Sunday. AWOOOOOOOO

4. Signage!

5. Yet More signage!

Quiet night outside

This image could have been one of our album covers. I didn't notice the shadow until i edited it. Neat.

Saturday was a good introduction to Warragamba for our first show there. Sunday night went off like a rocket. Good set, good energy, good mojo. Big thanks to the Sydney Blues Society for a great evening.

I'm blogging after returning from Kaye's farewell so I am gonna keep it brief. we have 2 more gigs this week and I gotta go do the poster art. She'd approve :-) the show goes on.

Update:

regular readers know we have had a bit of a tumultuous week. Kaye gave instructions that she didn't want to see any black suits and sombre faces, but I ain't changing my gig outfit for nobody :-), but just for her, here's a rainbow.

Kaye was an inustry professional and would be the first to say the show must go on.

I'd like to send a big thank you to T-Bird for volunterring as a support for Theo. Thank you Tony. Theo's opted to do the shows this weekend so without further ado, here's a reminder of what's to come this weekend

(previously in this article..)

Unleash the furry!

I mean, the Fury! The Fury! (the craw?)

Err.

3 gigs this week, starting with a Cellar Sesh on Thursday, then to the Land Of Grand Dams at Warragamba Workers on Saturday and finally a session as the House Band at the Sydney Blues Society, and we will end your week just like a Sunday.

Ooh look, more poster art :-)

No Man Is An Island

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

John Donne
