Sweet as Pie

Got a little girl

Just as sweet as she can be

Wondering what she’s doing when she isn’t here with me

Bought ribbons for her hair

paid for fancy clothes

But she doesn’t tell me

What she don’t want me to know

So when she pulls the door

And draws down the blinds

Is my little baby still as sweet as pie

Mystery phone calls kind of late

Strange numbers on her screen

Wonder what she’s doing when she

Isn’t here with me

can't sop myself from thinking

something just aint right

but she laughs and tells me that I’m just the jealous type

but when the bed is empty in the middle of the night

is my little baby still as

sweet as pie
