Hi there folks.

We missed yesterdays session as I think I may have infected Pete with my headcold (all about gone now) but he was full of lemsip and chicken soup today and back at the controls.

If you've ever thought making a record was glamorous, let me help disprove that with some footage from Paul's guitar sessions - it's fussy, its intricate, it involves discussions such as  'the drum goes bum da biddy dum dum' and responses like 'oh, I thought it went bom didda didda dum daa'.

Paul has been powering through his overdubs and fixes and I spent a few minutes in the studio with Pete and Mr Wizard, ably abetted by his Wizardly Familiar, Bill-V, who came up to lend support...and guitars!

Today was Slide guitar and Electric guitar time.

Please note, if you're keen on in depth discussion about guitar tone, you'll probably get a kick out of these videos, if not...err...well...you were warned.

As they started work on Same Old Blues, I had a thought about the vocals.

Whilst we were recording, I was using the RF In Ear Monitors to listen to the band and occasionally they would drop out at crucial moments, I noticed on review of this song that I always seemed to be starting just a tad behind the beat...hmmm.

Comfortingly, Pete suggested the Electronics were fine and sugegsted the problem lay elsewhere. Cheers Pete ;-)

Paul started on the solo for Same Old Blues

After this it was time to to do She Keep You Moving On, which was going to use more or less the same amp/guitar setup - but noooo...

A discussion about TONE commenced.... This is the bit where you realise that recording an album is work as well as creative. Watch on if you're keen :-)

I left the guys midway through their session, but by now, Mr Wziard should be pretty much done with his stuff and we're done for this weeks work on the album. Next week, we'll be doing...err...where is that schedule?
