Howdy Folks.

We did our first studio session for the album today, as Mr Wizard went in to record Mandolin, Acoustic Guitar overdubs and other exciting bits and pieces.

I was on stand by for Moral Support, but with a nice head-cold, wont be doing any singing for a few days. Our now Official Guitar Tech, Bill V, also came to join us, bringing yet more stuff from his vintage guitar collection.

With Pete at the controls, we locked Mr Wizard in the studio and sat back whilst he did his stuff. 

Paul started with Mandolin stuff for 2 songs, using this super nifty 1940's mandolin, borrowed from Rick O. yet more borrowed glory :-)

After the mando and some acoustic embellishments to a few songs,  Paul started work on the acoustic guitar parts for Light in the Distance.  

This song has caused some degree of controversy as incorrectly handled, there are fears it could turn into a....gasp...Rock Anthem. Uh oh..

How this develops and what treatment we finally give it is still up for grabs.
