Howdy Folks!

An early start for Yours Truly here this morning with the 7:30am interview on Digby's Breakfast show on 2LT in Lithgow, 107.9FM. Now as you all now, 7:30am is the equivalent of 3am on Muso Time :-)

Big thanks to Digby for taking the time to chat this morningand for playing Cheap Hotel.

However, he did one thing that scared me. He called us a Country Band. Ummm...Err...I thought we were a Blues & Roots Band that was 'Country Curious' (LOL).

Ahem.

Ah stuff it, as Big Daddy says, as long as the gig location and time is right, the rest is gravy. Besides which, who am I to correct the chap on his own show.

Rosie and I will be doing the interview with B-Rock in Bathurst this afternoon just after 4pm, so if you're in radio range, tune in: http://www.brockfm.com.au/

I think I am getting better at this sort of stuff. I am fairly sure during my first few times on Radio I pretty much just babbled extraneous nonsense...hmm...much as I do on this blog! Ok, so maybe not much has changed!

We have a big weekend with rehearsal tonight, a drive to Bathurst tomorrow, playing at the Bathurst RSL Saturday, then a live recording with 2MCE at the Uni Radio Station and then onto Oberon RSL for a gig there Sunday evening.

Unfortunately, our gig will be on or around the time that the Wallabies take on The All Blacks (Nooo!) but then again, teams I follow seem to do better when I am not watching. For example, Australia went down to the Irish whilst we were watching (and setting up) at the Pendle Hill Inn gig. I missed the Australia/South Africa game and Australia won! I may be seeing a pattern where none exists (also a normal thing for me) so its a good omen for the Aussies...although, in my heart of hearts, I still fear the mighty All Blacks and wont be overly surprised if they squish us like a bug, despite all the media hoopla about the Aussies chances. They'll need all the luck they can get so even whilst we're playing,  I'll be sure to avert my eyes from any nearby videoscreens. Go you good thing!
