Heh that was fun. Day 1 of the shoot for the 2nd videoclip for the new album. This time it's Little Big Bird'

Chris, Andris and Elwood! Who's operating whom? Read on for more pics from todays shoot! 

Big thanks to Lauren, Chris, Andris, Sambo, Paul and Dion for their work on the shoot and Tony and all the folks at the Five Dock Leisure Centre where we shot scenes for the Little Big Bird videoclip.

We still have a bit of shooting to go - but that will have to wait for another week (or so..circumstances permitting).

We got through a good solid bunch of filming today, much to the amusement of the Little-ies (gymnastic practice) the Silvertails (living longer, living stronger), weightlifters, footballers and fitness fanatics who were very surprised to be sharing the exercise equipment with Elwood (the hero of the clip).

Here's some shots from the day and no I am not going to tell you how this all fits together. Just like last time, you'll have to wait and see the finished product.

What could it all mean??? The mind boggles!

Puppeteers who look at these shots will get it - it's a job that requires the operator to be out of sight during the shot. But how? by contorting himself, lying on the floor, being pushed on a cart or dragged by his ankles.

Andris, we offer our deepest respects for the lengths you are prepared to go to for your art.

What a great day that was and what an enormous amount of care, pride and general niceness put in by everyone. It makes the thought of having to go and shoot the next scenes something to look forward to.
