Regular readers would be aware of my recent travails regarding Vans, Transport and logistics.

Could it get funnier?

Yes.

It always gets funnier.

With a gig on at The Entrance I wanted something big enough to fit the backdrops etc and rented what I thought was a 1.5 tonne van.

I didn't realize that I had rented the 9 meter super long wheelbase deal. OMG.

I was singing to myself (as I do from time to time) as I went to pick up the gear and thought 'hmm, where's that reverb coming from?'

Yes, this van was so big it had its own acoustic reverb. I liked it so much I wanna record in there :-)

Did I mention it was a big-ass van?

See? All our stuff that usually packs a 1.5 tonne van completely and there's still room for a sheepdog.

Oh yeah, we also did some gigs this week.

Here's Theo and John Hill jamming at a 'Cellar Session. If you're missing them, you're missing out, who knows how long we'll keep'em going (hint: at east 2 more sessions)

We trod the well worn path to the Central Coast for a Friday gig.

Love that Friday night traffic.

But when you're up high in the worlds biggest van, you FEAR NO SEDAN!! Mind you they don't let us change lanes so much. Pesky humans.

Good crowd at The Lakes, good to have Redline back for a session on Bass.Much Dancing.

Some interesting moments. One girl tried to snatch Mr Wizards hat from his head mid solo (grr) and even better, grabbed my microphone and screamed into it, which, when it's going through directly to my In Ear Monitors, really pisses me off.

I had to yank the plug from the back of the mike before I went deaf. Not cool.

We appreciate the enthusiasm but still...manners people, manners.

Even so, all in all a good night.

Cheers to all the folks who spent some time with us this week. Ok, almost all :-)

We're gigging like crazy over the next few weeks and there's a bunch more stuff happening in the background. Stay tuned!
