After a COVID flare up in NSW and VIC the local vibe is tenuous. Our mate the Phantom Phiddler did a gig last Friday and said the message about social distancing may not be getting through.

I have a suspicion we may wind up in another lock down soon. Fingers crossed we keep following the science.

Meeeeanwhile - Mixing, Recording, rehearsing and the Streaming continue safely, socially distanced, at a reasoned, gentle pace.

I am awaiting some stuff from our last US trip so we can figure out the next steps. With Gig revenue destroyed, it rather puts a crimp in the Production Budget. But we are crafty and versatile.

Thanks to MC, ML and all the folks who are giving input and help to get it sorted.

Two Salon tracks are in post production, trying to work out places to put fades and some mastering questions.

Things have slowed right down, because, well, Pandemic; yet we're still moving. Carefully and thoughtfully sure, but, moving. It's been good to get a pause, I for one was glad of the downtime post US tour. 

Speaking of Downtime, I am not sure the weather favours us this week so I am now working out Wet Weather planning for the show. Hmmm..

Keep staying safe out there, especially for our Mates from the States. We know how things are. We're not through this yet, but we can get there. Slowly, thoughtfully, methodically and by following all the science stuff.

I pulled the plug on the laptop as I moved it. Why in't the battery installed? Long story.

Reboot. Mid stream.

When it rebooted...I hadn't saved the settings.

It used the audio settings from last week.

Nooobodys fault but mine.

It gets better each time we do it. ALMOST. Dang it. I'm waiting for the point where we do it 2 weeks in a row and get it right.

To be fair we are substituting the work of a studio crew for a mouse and a jaunty attitude.

This is starting to cook, each week, yes. I am totally stoked with the idea of stepping through this methodically. there is so much going on.

I am enjoying the heck out of this. New interpretations of the songs, heck we even changed Key.

Man it's wild out there right now. I took my life into my hands and spent time with Victorians yesterday. Hope things get beter in Melbourne. They have closed the border again so...

Long day, I had some sad business to take care of.

Big ups to Dave the wild scotsman. And for the record mate, Danny Boy is for the Irish, but he redeemed himself with A Scottish Soldier.

So as the world does its thing, here in the stormcellar, things are Business as Unusual.

During COVID, there has been a massive outpouring of creative works from so many artists. Shout outs to Marcus, Pete D, T.A Lyndon and all our musical friends who have just gotten on with it.

I'm working on a couple of tracks for the Salon project with our mate Agitat0r and Theo decided he wanted to get in on the action.

Now of course as Agitat0r has made this track with a sequencer, watching Theo try to keep time was...

He wisely settled for drum Fills :) Thanks to Marcus for helping us out. Now it's some more vox and mixing.

There is a raft of work underway and a backlog of songs to complete. If it hadn't been for Mr Wizard tweaking his shoulder, there'd be yet more songs.

We can't make the chaos go away, or do much about world circumstance, but we'll be doing calm stuff with music and when you need to take a pause, come join us.

Downtime is on every week for the next 10 weeks, there are possible 'live' shows and we'll be making stuff as often as we can manage. Join us when you feel like it, and stay safe, aaaand look after yourself, because if you're reading this, you're most likely a Cellar Dweller and our friend and we'd like to see you out at a show, some time, when it can happen safely.

Almost there on sound issues. Overloaded the send, need to pull the bass down. A few things.

USB issues again but that was ok. Got the cameras remapped with enough time.

It's a lot to get right and it's.....AWESOME!!

While working in new songs we've had some mutations and it's just great.  Nobody knows better is now a soul song, Walk into your heart is nice to play acoustic and we even managed to get Pirouette in there.

Well done to Fox, Mr Coggins & Theo that was crazy relaxing. Cheers to Steve(s) and the BLF.

Also big thanks to Marcus for help in arranging stuff today. I'd write more but it's been a long day of making things.

It's good to be moving. More after a recharge. Things are starting to pop pop pop :)
