Stormcellar were one of four finalists to compete in the 2019 Blues Player of the Year Competition, in Sydney earlier this month, organised by the Sydney Blues Society. They won the competition and will now perform in the 36th International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, in January 2020 as Sydney’s representatives.Stormcellar were one of four finalists to compete in the 2019 Blues Player of the Year Competition, in Sydney earlier this month, organised by the Sydney Blues Society. They have released 11 albums and are working on their 12th. They are over the 500 mark of performances and have undertaken four USA tours. Festival will be held again on Sunday 17th November 2019.Jo Fitzgerald has been working with Stormcellar since they came to Cumnock in 2010 to record their album, ‘Carl’s Chair’ at Mal McCalman’s old farmhouse at ‘Burgoon,’ Cumnock.
