Howdy Folks.

We had a very solid night at the Townie with Dave Stone. A busy night indeed.

The Townie is happening for original music at the moment. Here is the greatest honour a pub can afford a band. A TV Switched off.

I got some footage of Dave which I'll post, but I wanted to make a mention of the fantastic busking going on in newtown. Nathan was ripping it up (no pics soz) on guitar up on the corner and some folks outside the station were doing likewise. What a staggering amount of talent around the traps.

There's a lotta love on the streets of Newtown :-)

Some signage from inside the pub. I love to see the other band names :-)

Big thanks to all the folks who joined us on Friday night, especially for the late late show, and to cheers to Dave for the middle bracket.

I havent had a chance to post vid today because we've been back in rehearsal all day.

When I collect the mikes they get sprayed with disinfectant. I call it the Glen-20 boquet.

So yes, 6 hours worth of rehearsal after a 3am finish. I reckon I ought to talk to who ever thought that was a good idea. Ah. Yeps. That was me. Right. I take my hat off to the boys for work effort.

Cripes.

On the plus side, I lay on the floor of the studio today as the boys worked through the versions of Bloomington, Mr Wizard on my left, Rosie to my right, my feet facing the kick drum and the bass. Imagine the best stereo system you've ever heard, like you're right there....BECAUSE YOU'RE RIGHT THERE!!!! This is awesome. The bass shaking my chest when Theo hit the toms with the mallets, guitars blazing away and me with my trusty hearing protector mufflers.

Good times.

Ok, so maybe the whole rehearsal thing was worthwhile after all. Now get back to work, this isnt a holiday camp you know!
